I'm getting the same feeling when I was a kid waiting for christmas to come around to get all the goodies. Give me 2.2, now santa claus, I need it. dancedroid

Android phone fans is reporting that google confirmed that 2.2 is going out now and will be satagering it out over the next few weeks. So if this is true then I think a 2.2 release in June isn't so far fetched for the Droid ( sorry no link but if you go to their site you should be able to find it)

I was scratching my head when I first saw/read the reports of it being released already.

Some one needs to get the update.zip off of their N1 and upload that bad boy! I could care less about the date of the official update I just want custom roms.

I'm wondering how the new feature of storing apps to SD will impact speed of use for the applications stored on SD vs internal memory. Will there be a significant and observable difference in use?

I know some have answered this for you already....but I'm on Amazon pricing Class 6 and Class 10 SD Cards already...

Don't waste your money. The microsd bus on the droid is limited to approximately the speed of class 2 cards. You can insert higher class cards, but the transfer speed will be limited.

Yeah, well if you knew what we went through with 2.1 you'd understand. So far since that other thread opened things have been nice I'm just trying to make sure it stays that way.

And don't make fun of me because I'm old. I prefer to it think of it as maturity.
