Android 2.2 :reddroid: Froyo
Saw something on one of the tech sites saying we will see it in five days. Take it for what it's worth.
OK I'm going to say it....
Is this really news?
Nope - this is rumour, until it becomes news.
With the history of the 2.1 update, I expect this to roll otu in about 2012 lmao
Only difference between rumor and news is how you deliver it.
run down of the features? pwetty pweese
I don't doubt that Froyo will be released soon. When Verizon pushes it for the Droid is another matter.
Come on really........ do you really want to have to start this BS again?? 20+ useless threads getting closed down everyday.....
they just like teasing us.. id say 2012 is about right. and theyre probably hoping the world ends so they dont have to actually release it.
It might as well be the end of the world for Verizon... Tethered data built into the OS.
A potential PR nightmare either they will take out the tethering which will really piss off users or state that you have to pay more to use the feature which most likely they will start tracking usage and charge you more if you don't have the tethering plan.
That brings up then a slew of legal problems considering contracts.
There would be the third option that they would just allow use and not ***** about it but with Verizon I find that highly unlikely but Android on Verizon was a welcome surprise to me as well considering the way all of my phones in the past were so "locked down by them.
Damn, I'll probably have to unroot my phone to get 2.2 goodies (whenever it does come out).
