No. You will NOT! :) You will use the install 242 option. This has been fixed since HoB 4.0. REINSTALL is to fix issues with your current install. Install is to move up to that version from whatever you happen to be on.

Thanks Samuri! Glad I asked... will be moving forward momentarily.

This is turning into total BS. BTW, where you guys hanging out at now? I am so lost without the Shoutbox its not funny. Totally out of the Bionic loop, so to say.

I've been insanely busy the past couple weeks, but, when I do get a chance to hang out I'm on droidrzr.

Yea, I honestly wasn't expecting it. I saw Obsidian post a screen shot of it and was like "woa, wait, WTF?" I was going to have someone check cheesecake today but I hadn't been really paying attention all week thinking it had been heavily delayed. The best part is that the person who discovered the leak used the AddUpdate script in the HoB to add support for it and installed it before I even knew it was out. That is awesome!

Need WAYYYY more information than that if you want help fixing the issue.

o) What version are you installing on top of?
o) Are you using the HoB?
o) What is the md5 of the update you're installing?
o) Is that the full error?

Really need to document what you were on when you started and the steps that led you to that error. Then we can try to help fix it.

1.) From .238
2.) Yes, using HoB
3.) Not sure, where would I find this information?
4.)
"Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted."

That's a corrupt zip file indeed. Did you have the House of Bionic push the update to your sdcard-ext or did you manually copy it over? At this point you'll have no choice but to shut the phone off, pull the sdcard, and recopy the update to it. Use something like hashtab to verify the MD5 hash. For the 242 update it should be: 2c3b6dd72991a8860fe26385e503c975

I had the HoB copy the file over. Not sure what you mean by taking the SD out and recopying... but I'll figure it out :)

If the HoB copied it over and it was successful, it shouldn't be a corrupt file as we md5 hash it. This is odd. You used the INSTALL 242 option, not the REINSTALL 242 option, right? And what I meant was, because your phone isn't bootable, there's no way to get to the sdcard without pulling it out of the phone. Can you also post the lines from today in the rsd\SWDL.txt file in your HouseOfBionic folder?

Is this one set up on security like 238...no way back to GB? Just making sure I/everyone knows where it takes us.

Yes, exact same security as 235/238. No FXZ'ing back to 905 hence the bazillion warnings people are tired of hearing me say.

I did the INSTALL 242 option, not the REINSTALL. I don't know that I have another way to access the microSD card.
