nah you dont
can I install this over the stock system via safestrap 3.11?
Yes if you wish. I think I might do the same, I need to delete most of the apps off my stock rom since I'll likley never return. Love the circle widgets, and pull down notifications are more handy then I thought.
4.1 Jelly Bean was just now released for the Droid 4, hope to see it implented in this ROM soon. dancedroid
Me too! Of all the ROMs ive tested, the rom myfishbear cooked is the most stable/fast/battery efficient! I am sick of ICS though..
Hi, you worked on hd files and i would work on stock files, could you indicate me a guide?
man! google translate sux lol... i had to translate that back into italian to understand that question (i know many languages). anyway i dont but you could ask olegfusion over on xda hes done it b4. im just workin on xmls for mods. basically you need apktool and notepad++ to decompile and edit em winmerge helps as well for file diffing. then you pull the need resources from the new file and place them in the old file using 7zip. its alot of custom work lol.
Sorry for my bad english, I did not use google translate. I will ask olegfusion too.
On what xml did you work? Can you tell me the string that you edited?
i didnt do that mod that was oleg. he knows what to mod. anyway this may help http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602260
I have already added all Central European languages in my rom.
Now I want to add battery mod and toggle widgets in status bar; I know you edited framework-res.apk and systemui.apk and i would know how to do this.
oh lord lol well it took me like 3 days and many threads to get that one rolling the jb method was different from the ics method. go read up on it on xda and buy a case of red bull, i really cant teach that lol
i just saw D4HD for jb on your server. i cant wait to install it. i loved it with ICS so im sure its even better with JB
- new Jb version is in the op
- added a vzw hotspot patch
how shall I install this, good sir?
safestrap lol... if in ics also flash kexe patch.
Can you install d4hd for jb over Eclipse JB?
I realize that. I am looking for a way to install this WITHOUT using /mnt/sdcard/safestrap/rom-slot?/system.img, etc.
mount -t ext3 /mnt/sdcard/safestrap/rom-slot4/system.img /system -o loopback
The I/O performance of these safestrap 3.11x methods are KILLING me.
I am looking for a solution that allows me to either flash over the stock rom using hashcode's safestrap 3.11 over stock rom slot and specifically not rom-slot1, rom-slot2, rom-slot3, or rom-slot4.
I have attempted to use Droid4Safestrap-ICS-2.11.apk on top of my stock rooted OTA update of motorola jellybean 4.1.2, however when I swapped to the safe system and tried to flash any of these, no boot. If I were to attempt this again, however flash ICS_User_Kexec_patch_CDMA.zip after flashing Droid4HD with Safestrap 2.11 (which would have the stock OTA JB on the 'unsafe side'), could this work?
As indicated in another thread here, I have successfully bricked JB, fxz'd with the ICS fxz by modifying a few things in the xml file, then re-applying the JB OTA. Everything works. (albeit an unorthodox, not-bestpractice method). I also have a motorola dev cable, so the common obstructions that most users find themselves in, are of no concern to me.
Just came back to post that this worked !
Edit, no it didnt.
It actually worked for me. My ? Is will this work on other job ROMs I.e. liquid smooth?
When I say it worked I mean it worked on the safe side. I didn't try to flash over the stock ROM..
