Verizon denied blocking Wallet, I think this is the fight why GNex is not being released and being pushed out all these days.

Just called two VZW stores in my area. First one told me "maybe Friday, maybe next week, we're not sure." Second one told me, "I can't say anything officially, but Friday would be a really good day to swing by the store." I pressed on the second guy and he took my name and number and told me he'd hold a GNex for me on Friday. !@#$ is getting real, nerds.

Yup I'm gonna try to visit my local Verizon store Thursday night. Hopefully while they're close to closing up and hope one of them will try to hold a unit for me, IF it's releasing this Friday.

I agree, this phone is not getting much general public exposure. Which in our case is a good thing. Many of you must be saying "but it's on Engadget and Droid life and etc." these are the kinds of sites the general public doesn't visit. If you're on this board you're a bit of a nerd

I wasn't anything close to a nerd until I bought my D1. Before that I knew how to turn phones on and off and make calls and texts, now I can turn my D1 into a photon ray stungun.

Lets talk strategy here people. Here's mine: wake up Friday morning 1 hour earlier than usual. Confirm phone has been released(my entire plan is contingent upon this TINY little detail ). Shower. Shave. Wait, no shave, its Friday. Drive to train station. Ride the train. Get off the train. Sprint to the verizon store a few blocks from work and BUY MY NEXUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then get nothing else accomplished that day...at all. Thanks for listening guys. You're the best.:icon_ lala:

All these signs point to a Dec. 9th launch being the most realistic launch by far, at least to me. This is like a kid waiting for Christmas, I'm goin crazy here now LOL! I started off so patient too:frown:

How do you know what the number is to the local store? I only can find vz support number on the site.

My plan is to go to work. Half an hour before the store opens, I will lock my computer, drive my happy ass to the verizon store and camp out in front of it. when they open the doors I will proclaim "Free me from my OG droid dungeon, give me my nexus!"
