My good friend who works at the verizon store just texted me a pic of their galaxy nexus demo and stock they got in. I don't want to post it cause he's a good friend of mine and I don't want to get in trouble. He says he should have an official release date by thursday, but if he knows sooner, he will let me know.
So the galaxy nexus's are coming!

My apologies for the confusion.

Forget absolutely everything I posted (including the Droid Life article) and do only this: [HOW TO] Unlock Bootloader & Root GSM Nexus - xda-developers

Follow this exactly. With this method you don't have to install ADB. Everything is easy, in a neat little package. This method will unlock your bootloader, root your device and give you superuser.

You need superuser to install root apps like overclock and others.

Does anybody know if there is a way to go back to stock yet? Heaven fordid I have to take it back.

I know somewhere back around post 1500 (just a comlete guess), someone pointed out that the correct plural was "nexus's". But can we please just all agree to use nexii?

IMO, Nexus's is just way too difficult to say.

Here is a crude method used with the GMS Nexus: [HOW TO] Restore Galaxy Nexus to Stock - xda-developers

No word yet if this works with the LTE version. I would assume not, since this method involves restoring the stock framework which wouldn't be compatible with the LTE version. This method is a bit cumbersome, I'd wait and see if there's a better method coming.

It wouldn't be "Nexus's" because that implies possession by a Nexus. It would be Nexuses or Nexi.

Sorry for the meticulousness (my girlfriend hates it), I went to college for technical communication...lol
