Yeah I remember that from previous builds but my menu button only vibrates and does not bring up any menus when I am in the settings ringtone area.

Update: I figured it out, you just need to copy the files that you want to use into the MIUI/Ringtone folder on the SD card using File Explorer

So what is the secret for adding your own ringtones?

Or you can make an update.zip that adds files to your system/media so that they are easier to apply... thats what I did for alarms, ringtones, and such...

ok, i get what you mean by 'i'm using bama's'. I was too. i downloaded magiman7's 5.13 and did the same routine. wipe data/cache, install rom, ran DT a2sd 2.7.5.3 beta 4 script. i'm getting a different error now, which may be progress

su
a2sd check
/system/bin/bash: /system/bin/launcha2sd: no such file or directory

i recall seeing this in some other threads. i'll be back

I did not have to apply any scripts or anything like that. Just went from Treym's to Bammas and looked in titanium and it was working.

Just wanted to take the time to say thanks for all your hard work, both of you. This release is amazing and has been extremely stable for me so far.

For me there's nothing that compares to the beauty of miui but I've always had problems with stability. So thanks once again

Another possibly silly question - are they technically the same ROM, except tp4bama's has different styling/theme? Is the actual functionality the same between the two?

Cannot get any of 1.5.6 or 1.15.13 install. it never happened to me before.
Droid is freezes on "M" logo forever until i remove battery.

been flashing with ROM Manager all ROM's until now. Data and Cache wiped; Dalvik Cache wiped.

Will try to rename to update.zip and flash from Recovery.

Will welcome any other suggestions.

thanks.

Well, I suggest that you search for RZR recovery 2.0.3. Flash it like you would a rom. Then use that recovery to flash miui. You'll find that it is faster and favored by many other as the preferred recovery.

Good luck

Just as an anecdotal experience, the first boot after being in ClockworkMod to install the .zip, it hangs on the boot animation and I have to do a battery pull and reboot - the second time it always works the whole way through.

Is anyone else getting Chinese characters on the caller ID when a call comes in? Not a huge deal as it still displays the name.

A.
