What is the funniest post you've read from someone trying to activate a stolen phone?

We all know it's against the rules to post about stolen phones but the forums are littered with people making up stories to explain why they need to know if the ESN is valid or how to circumvent it without calling the phone company. I always find it quite amusing whenever I see posts like the following:

"Um, my sister gave me her old Thunderbolt and I'm not sure if I can use it but I don't want to bother Verizon. Can anyone help?"
"I got a great deal on a used Droid X! I can't call Verizon because my roommate got his account disabled and they have my apartment land line number blocked. Can you help me find out if the ESN is de-activated. . ."
"My old phone was a D2 and I switched to an X. I just dropped my X and it's broken so I need to switch back to my D2. Um, it won't work even though I deactivated it before. Verizon won't help me and stuff so can someone like tell me how to activate my old phone."

Those were made up but very similar to multiple posts I've read. Do you have any favorite examples you've recently read?

lmao. The most common thing starts with "My buddy"... then it could end up anywhere from there.

Lol! All of "my buddies" have 15 Droids on them at any given time. They are all clean ESNs. I swear.

Not quite the same but my favorite threads are the ones about people wanting to take away functionality (to prevent porn usually) or install a keylogger to catch a cheating spouse. My favorite part is when we tell them they have to root lol how many phones do you think we've caused overtly protective parents to brick?

I've got a 15 yr old sister in law, and I think she needs a droid so the in laws can keep an eye on her. She has a thing for 30 yr olf men. I never thought of setting one up like that. Might have to tell her parents.

This is a good one I just read. Yeah, I'm sure Verizon/HTC just ran out of batteries and back doors for Thunderbolts. Sounds like a "back of the van" purchase to me.

Standard Battery and Door - Anyone know where to get one? (Or selling one?)
I'll skip a long backstory and just say Verizon is sending me a replacement Thunderbolt device, but they didn't have the standard battery door available and so had to ship it with an extended battery and cover. Does anyone know where I can get the regular battery door, with or without the battery? I'd use the extended one but I want to use the phone in a dock and the one I'm getting won't let it fit with the extended battery.
