is it free to call someone from NJ to CA for example? not over seas calling but from state to state such as state above. Thanks. I know there's charges for like USA calls to like Germany for example but what about verizon to verizon calling across time zones etc?

Truely thats not a question for here. Most likely your rate plan is not 10 years old and is a expired local calling plan, so most likely you get free long distance within the united states.

It's pretty easy. All the major providers allow for free in-country long distance, and free mobile-to-mobile on the same network.

thanks for the answers, sorry for the non droid related question. calling verizon wasnt working out for some reason, although ended up making through and a guy did conclude free verizon to verizon talk throughout the u.s.
