If you have Clockwork recovery....

Any brave REVOlution users can try the custom font :)

Obviously, it works. I was brave enough to try , heh.

Evolution_Font.zip

Put it on the root of your sdcard, select install .zip from sd card, choose the file, and go :)

So do I flash Clockwork on Rom manager first?

And yes the widget is called Extended Controls. And what I'm sure most of you have been waiting for is the updated framework-res.apk for you to push to your phone. Again just follow the same steps in the OP's instructions on page one and you will be just fine. You do NOT need to redo the services.jar And lastly after downloading the file you will need to do a rename and just remove the .zip at the end and then you can get started.

hey, quick question. i currently have the REVOlution theme set up but i want the droidxnotifications and green battery. i downloaded the framework zip but when i go to terminal emulator, it says no such file or directory found?? when i download the file and unzip them what folders do i put them in?? thanks for the help! sorry for being ignorant! :p

Yeah my question is the same. I know someone tried to explain, but I still don't get it. I don't understand what to do with the .zip folder.

Someone posted that all I need is the updated framework, but I don't see the file anywhere.

Wicked_beav explained this in the quote rocafella cited. His modified framework-res.apk.zip is the framework-res.apk -- you need to rename it and remove the .zip. " And lastly after downloading the file you will need to do a rename and just remove the .zip at the end and then you can get started."

DF will not allow .apk uploads so people add .zip at the end of the filename to get them on there. When it is a rename and not an actual compression, 9.9/10 times the poster will state that.

Once you rename the file, just follow Fab's OP instructions and get the framework on there the same way you got the current REVO framework on there.

Do you have a .zip for the stock font, in case i want to revert, or is the best way (for now) to make a nandroid with Bootstrapper before applying the new font to revert later?

Thanks! Your explanation really helped, and I got it working. I didn't understand why the file was renamed .zip, and then when I went to change it on my PC it was already named as a .apk even though it was still a .zip file (I have win7, and when I clicked rename, there was no .zip). So when I put the .zip file in my revo folder on my sd card, I went into astro and changed it there.
Glad it no longer says Evo notifications =)

Is there any chance this will work on 2.2, or be updated to do so sometime in the future? I love the black and white status bar and I'm really missing it in froyo.

Same here. I haven't tried to apply it, I'm afraid it will kill it. I know that on the Droid, 2.1 and 2.2 themes weren't compatible.

Hm, I'd be happy simply with the black and white status bar, but I'd love the theme too. But yeah, I'm not gonna risk it.
