Lots of talk about battery life and how much people are actually getting compared to the advertised claims. Let's see what kind of life you are getting on your Turbo.

These are my results after a third full charge. Used on the network all day. Browsing, Tapatalk, about 3 hours of Pandora streaming and a few pics. Location on, bt and wifi off and on brightness pegged.

Perfectly happy with this and I am sure it will only get better.

10.5 hours off charge
5 hours of SOT

10 hours wow and I do not mean that in a good way. With that battery and screen size I expect at least 20 hours easily. My note 2 with a larger screen and touchwiz is able to go 18 hours easily. I hope that is a fluke or am I missing something?

Were you full brightness, watching a bunch of movies to push it or using it normally?

Edit: missed the part where you said "had brightness pegged".

There's no way the Note 2 would last 18 hours with the screen on 50% of the time. I'd say that 10hrs with 5hrs SOT is pretty good. That's some heavy usage.

For a Turbo, that's actually pretty weak. My S5 easily gets those numbers with at least two more hours of SOT. (That said I don't keep my screen on 100% either....It would burn my retinas!)

Well this is only after 3 charges. I'm sure it will settle in and get better. I was purposely trying to work it hard today. No babying.

I did watch some videos and this was inside work which has a metal roof so I am sure it had to work harder to get and keep a signal.

I edited my post I missed the fact he said full brightness and I missed being on for 5hrs straight.

With normal usage (or my normal usage of brightness at maybe a 1/4) 2-3 hrs SOT on avg I am betting that phone can make it 35 hours easily which is great for a phone that only needs 15 mins to charge.

I'm currently 15.5 hours on battery, 4 hours 30 minutes screen time (set to "auto"), and I have 37% battery remaining. I'm very happy with that.

So far, my very general estimate of battery drain is approx 10% per hour of screen time, plus 1% to 1.5% per hour of total up time.

There in lies the dilemma at 58% do I charge or not . 20 points either way would be an easy decision.

I was streaming video all afternoon... It did pretty well.. Only on my second charge.. I'm just plugging in my turbo charger for the first time.

For me today is a typical usage. I'm running the screen at auto brightness with pretty much everything on. Not trying to conserve the battery at all.

What's kinda bugging me isn't the battery life SOT, that is solid, but it's less than sippy with idle. Does everyone else's Awake info-graphic look like this? I know this phone is sensing this and that but that's like 20x as much wakelocks as my G2.

It's normal for new Moto phones. My maxx wakes every 15-20 minutes regardless of what's going on. But I have like 200 apps and who knows which doing what when.

Thing that bugs me the most in new phones is the crazy resolution displays(2k, 4k). Such a waste of battery, one of the main reasons why I decided to try xperia instead of turbo.

Well, I went for it so I am well into Day#2 (I unplugged at 0600hrs on Monday and it is now 1222 hours on Tuesday) - I am at 40% battery. 1 day 6 hours and 18mins.
