Motorola just released two high end smartphones using Gingerbread. They surely don't want to see Samsung blow them out because the Galaxy Nexus will have ICS and they also want to trump the Rezound.

As a result they tweeted that "ICS will come to devices 6 weeks after Google releases it".

    They clarified.

The timeline as to when each phone will get it will be released within 6 weeks. So by the end of the year you'll know when Bionic will be getting it.

Hopefully we'll get a taste (and probably a bowlful) well before Motorola gets around to a press release.

Time and time again they remind us why they need to spend more time engineering releases and less time engineering bootloaders.
