Type “adb devices”, this will tell you if your phone is recognized with the ADB shell.
If it shows the phones serial number then type the script that appears in my previous link. It might be helpful to copy and paste to make sure you get it right
I keep getting a file not found error
root@localhost:/osh# tar jxvf /mnt/sdcard-ext/mbm.tar.bz2 tar jxvf /mnt/sdcard-ext/mbm.tar.bz2 tar: /mnt/sdcard-ext/mbm.tar.bz2: Cannot open: No such file or directory tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now tar: Child returned status 2 tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors root@localhost:/osh#
when i put the tar file on my sd card the bz2 extension disappears and i add it back but still no go. Any suggestions?
i had that same error a few times. is the mbm.tar.bz2 file on the root of your sd card? Did the ADB recognize your phone when you typed adb devices? Is your phone in usb debugging mode? and is busybox installed in the correct location?
you are close!!! after that follow the link from my post to switch desktops and presto. Did you do anything different from my post? maybe you have some suggestions for my instructions since its fresh in your mind?
