In theory, no. His link was for those who got the .901 update OTA. That should mean that if your phone has .901, run that zip file. If you have .893 there's other threads with that zip file.

. I just did it successfully and i had manually updated to. 901. So heres hoping. 902 runs smoothly.

I didn't get .901 ota either, but I just flashed the zip from FantomPhlasher and I'm happy to report it worked just fine! Forgot to unfreeze my bloatware too, but it still worked, and I retained root!

I want to give you all my rundown:

I was on the leaked 5.7.893 build... when the .901 kerfuffle came out I reverted to STOCK via rsd lite. After I was reverted to stock, I flashed the .901 update. I just flashed the file in post #38 ON TOP OF THE .901 software, and am running .902 with no known issues so far. I wasn't and am not rooted... All seems to be well thus far

Can someone please post step by step instructions on where to download the ZIP file (in the phone directory) and how to install it, in order to upgrade from 901 to 902? I saw the zip file from the thread # 38. I appreciate any response on this. Thanks.

Others might want to post the the file from post #38 to other download locations. When I posted the 901 update this past Dec, it took about 12 hours before Dropbox gave me a 3 day timeout for generating excessive traffic. Dropbox has a 10G/day limit on the freebee accounts. This 902 update is about half the size of 901 so I suspect tomorrow evening the public link will break in post #38.

In other words... Get it while you can!

Download the zip from post 38. Drop it on the root of your sd card (not in any folders). Turn off your phone and then turn it back on while holding down both volume keys. Press volume down to highlight recovery, then volume up to select it. When the exclamation point shows up, press both volume keys again. Use the volume keys to navigate up and down. Go to apply update from sdcard. Use the power button to select it. Select the zip, wait a few minutes, and have fun with .902!

You should be back on the upgrade path, since the next update will be made to update from .902

From the looks of it, unless you were one of the ORIGINAL people to "accidentally" receive the .901, you're off the upgrade path for now... you need to manually install the .902 over the .901.
