anyone rooted after installing 901?? i need that answer. so far no methods are working or even seeing my phone

If you lose root, going to 901, you need to Onestep back to 886, 43ver root and then reapply 893 and 901. Do a search for it. It is detailed in a number of threads.

any word when this will actually hit the OTA update from phone itself ?

Nope. I know you've been holding off. I'd just flash it, there's a way back to stock if by some far chance they decide not to support it.

ok i just read and it seems pretty simple reboot recovery and install update .. got it also found the deodex file for this .. now will i manage to keep root once i flash this if i used 4veroots method ? if it fails will i be able to just reflash my backup ?

If you're 4ever rooted you shouldn't havea problem keeping root.

Also, if the install fails, it'll just reboot the phone and then tell you that it didn't work.

Also, keep in mind that you're using stock recovery, not the bootstrapped recovery.

how do i do stock recovery ? i thought it was using bootstrap

is this right for Bionic ?

1. Start with being powered off
2. Hold both volume up and down then power on
3. Volume down moves, volume up selects the highlighted choice
4. when you get to the exclamation point press both volume buttons
