The Official DF Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Thread

Unlocking bootloader first since it wipes, then rooting and possibly flashing one of the custom ROMs out for the mods (search button, menu button move, restart in power menu, newest ICS version, etc..), then probably downloading Titanium Backup and restoring all my apps from the backup folder on my Droid X. OR just letting it re-download all apps from Market itself then checking if any got left out using Titanium Batch mode..........

edit: But the dates next to droid 4 and white razr make no sense... Unless of course the d4 really is out thursday, but the white razr just got announced today.

I quit playing about 4 months ago because the app was so dang buggy and would force close so much... did they ever get that ironed out?

I will definitely "restore" my data to some apps using TiBu, but I'm worried about restoring entire apps due to comparability issues. My guess is that if allowing the Market to restore your apps leaves any out, you might want to look into that specific app and see if there are no issues before using TiBu to push it back onto the phone.... which I'm sure you already know all this but i'm saying it anyway for the folks out there that are thinking about just running a full restore with TiBu once they move all their data over.

Speaking of that... do most of you plan on simply entering your Google account information into the setup wizard when you boot the phone, or are you guys going to skip it (by touching the 4 corners of the display) and mess with it first? I don't think I want the Market to automatically download and install all my previous apps. I think I read somewhere if you skip the setup wizard, it won't do that? What's everyone planning to do?

Dungeon Defenders! omg thats right, ill actually be able to play this game on my phone! its on my xoom, its cool but my D1 runs it like crap especially with swapper 2. Itl run super nice becuase nexus actually haas a better processor then xoom.

Nope, I've rooted almost every device out to date, minus Razr and Rezound. I'm not a noob in any sense when it comes to rooting.

Yup, runs like a champ on my Transformer and RAZR. Can't wait to have it on the Nexus. Hopefully you didn't miss the Steam sale. I bought the 4-pack for $11.99 for some of my friends.
