I'll be back later guys, I'm going to go make another rumor in Photoshop. What date would ya'll like? I'll make it like yesterday! Actually I'll make it for December 10th at 3am. (The tenth is to throw everyone else off so we'll be first in line and The 3am is just for good measure. Makes things more interesting when the Nexus n00bs want to beat the rush and get there at 1am... Only to wait all night, then find it was released 2 days before. xD

Guys, I think it's an inside job. It's all linked back to they fact that 9/11 was faked. The twin towers were really never bombed, the government would like to have you believe that, but they really stole them and buried them in the sand, hence the war. Just like they stole my future Nexus, I think they're buried in the middle east somewherez. :cry:

So when you boot up the phone there is that little button at the bottom that you can tap to unlock the boot loader. I am assuming this voids your warranty. Can you root without unlocking the boot loader?

It's a status indicator for the bootloader (locked or unlocked). Not clickable to my knowledge. And yes, you have to unlock it (fastboot oem unlock, or thereabouts) before rooting.

I see photos of lots of Nexus boxes on shelves, unless they plan on holding them for another 9 days, I'd say we see it Friday.

But I'm sure they'll figure out a way to push it back, kind of the tone since this started heh.

Any thoughts that this might be a "limited area" release? Kinda like an independent movie? According to my vzw store(even though I've never bought anything from them...) they have zero info and nothing physical(so they say...) in the store...but the reps are excited, well...interested in the Nexus...

I might just resign myself to hold off on reading any more about a release date until I happen to hear it really is in stores, and people don't have to have a secret contact or licence to kill to obtain one. Although, saying that, maybe I should wear my largest handgun(or two) on my belt next time I go to a vzw store and see if that gets me any further than, "no idea sir". :icon_ devil: I do live in AZ, so unless they have a sign posted, I should be golden...

I think they are playing dumb, those documents say some strict instructions. I'm really baffled on how Mission Impossible Verizon is making this phone look.

OMG this is so friking faked!!!!!! Can't believe you linked that.

Not sure if it's fake or not, but I did notice the line "although we’ve gotten more than a few emails stating December 15th is the new Dec 9th" ... I've been wondering this for a while now - what if Dec 8th is when they announce Dec 15th as the release date.

Not like store managers know anything, BUT, when I was in my local store towards the end of Nov. I asked the manager about the Nexus release and he (very matter-of-factly and without hesitation) said "Last I heard is Dec. 15". He didn't try to blow it off or play dumb, seemed pretty sincere about it.

The lack of acknowledgement by Verizon is beyond frustrating! I just don't understand the marketing strategy ... I know it's not "Droid" branded, but they should be hyping the hell out of a new Android OS - that's initially exclusive to only them!! Just plan ole DUMB IMO - but that's Big Red. If I had the cash and there was another reliable carrier in my area, I would pay how ever much it would cost to terminate all my lines with these bungholes!
