So, just pull mms.apk from the old one and drop it into the hybrid zip and reflash?

vica versa... pull messaging.apk from hybrid and put it into the norm one and del mms.apk from norm one

But wouldnt that be the opposite of what Im looking to do?
Im no pro at this... so pardon my lack of knowledge... but from what I understand apks are like android versions of windows exes?
What Im looking to do, is have the hybrid roms (1.2.5c) versions ability to search through my fb contacts and for them to show up in my msgr and contacts etc. But the old (non hybrid) style messaging app from 1.2.3 (it was darker and allowed me to use enter to send)
Other than that, as you predicted 1.2.3 was waaaaaaaaay faster

yeah your manipulating 2 zip files than flashin it.. the updater script will set permissions automatically...
