But, downloaded hybrid, then took the mms.apk from 1.2.3 and injected it to the hybrid (while deleting the messaging.apk) which apparently knocked out the ability to make the fb contacts searchable...

lol... well i guess you are going to have to pick one or the other... i dont use fb cause it tracks everything you do... the goverment owns a large share of it at this point... plus it drains the crap out of your battery... if you need fb why dont you just use the web browser? its more functional than any app.

Ok I have a new wrinkle to throw out there. I had been using Eclipse for the past couple of weeks. As I mentioned before I started getting horrible battery life. I tried all the tricks I could think of to get it to come back but no dice. So I did a wipe and reinstalled 1.2.5c. I couldn't get my data to come back. So I tried 1.2.4 and no data. reverted to my safe system and it works fine. tried 1.2.6 and no data. I've just installed skyline and data works. Any ideas?
Update: After installing skyline I can install eclipse with data working just fine. Go figure.

i had a simalar thing happen to me... except i was getting garbled video from a rom i was working on... what worked 4 me was to go into mounts and storage and formated everything except my sd cards... it fixed the problem 4 me.... skyline and a couple other roms will leave parts of it behind sometimes.

Major help needed
So I decided to go ahead with the eclipse rom. I got it up and now after restoring the phone logs and mms i get fc on com.android.phone every sec. It makes it hard to even unlock the phone. anyone know how I can restore the db in control of the sms phone log. The backup I had was from the leaked ICS and now I am on 217. Maybe the DB isnt compatible between roms. I didnt have a GB phone and mms log. It was ICS to ICS. ugh And I am waiting on news from my wife on my son in the hospital. What bad timing to mess with my phone. Any help would be appreciated
