Question about new OTA 69mb file

If im rooted at 2.1 updated-1, is it safe to install this new file: http://android.clients.google.com/packages/voles/signed-voles-ota-29593.439b5590.zip ? It wont unroot me will it ?

If I understood the ever entertaining thread from last night, wasn't it determined that the "supposed" update was either a hoax or just a redo (for the lack of a better term) of the original 2.1 OTA update???

I can tell you what it do:

for those ppl still having the OTA download loop happening, instead of a 15MB file redownloading, its 69MB now..

Maybe its Google's way of punishment for using older custom ROMs....
