ONLY LOAD THIS IF YOU ARE RUNNING THE NEW LEAK FROM P3DROID YESTERDAY! IF YOU ARE NOT, YOUR MEDIA WILL NOT WORK

Change Log from 1.5.2
  • Updated base to 2.3.320
  • Tweaks further updated
  • Kernel tweaks. NO this is not a custom kernel, but I've found a way to tweak :)
  • SMART CPU tweaks (credit to myself and JRummy)
What does this mean? You can adjust your OC and the Sampling Rate and Up Threshold will adjust to your cpu speed and voltage settings accordingly.
  • Some blur removed (Clock widget, Weather Widget, News Widget, Photo Widget)
  • Custom Transitions (credit to Myn)
  • FINALLY compatible with setting OC at boot, it will no longer override my tweaks

Change Log from 1.0
  • Updated to 2.2.1
  • Tweaks tweaked
  • Code cleaned up
  • Bug fixes
  • Home Screen Memory Fix (credit to Beesley)
  • All apps optimized, zipaligned (since they were upgraded)
  • Security measures to benefit myself, do not harm you nor the rom experience at all (Thanks to JRummy for the advice)

Release Notes:
Blurry 1.0:

  • Based off 2.3.15 (ota)
  • Completely deodexed, zipaligned, optimized, not like everyone else says, I mean it when I say optimized!
  • FULL Motorola Blur, get your social networking widgets and photo syncs!
  • Custom speed/battery tweaks
  • Internal task killer has been set a little more aggressive for better battery, stability, and speed
  • Tweaks to sysctl.conf (Credit to myself and Pete)
  • Market apps removed
  • Wallpapers installed to SDCard instead of in launcher!
  • Build.Prop mods (Credit to Beesley, edited by me)
  • Certain System files replaced with LATEST 2.2.1 source build apps (Calculator, Gmail, etc.)
  • Bloatware Removed
  • LOTS of free space in system! Over 100 mb! I can't remember the exact amount, i'll edit it in when I load it back up
  • Amazing Boot animations credit to WJD Designs!
  • Optional undervolt, type lowvolt.sh to run it
Overclock Script! Credit to JRummy for the awesome script. To access, just run:
su
cpu.sh
in terminal emulator, and follow instructions from there.
BETA:
Auto boot strap on every FULL boot of the system. This is beta, and will be tweaked within the next few days

I've got a question. I'm running blurry 1.5.2 version 2.3.20. How should I go about upgrading to this newer version?

Obviously If I am coming from 1.52 however (with incognito on top of it), I'll need to wipe, etc, restore...

if you didn't have to wipe to load 2.3.320, you will not have to wipe to load this

Great Rom Drod! Its been working very nicely for me after a bit of app add/removal to my liking... The only issue Im having that I thought might be worth mentioning is with quadrant... On the stock 2.2.1 build I was able to get over 1400 consistantly at stock clocking... now with your rom Im pulling 900's at best with stock clock... cant break 1100 even at 1300 mhz... the thing is that the graphic tests ont he quadrant are pulling impressive fps and everything is running as if it would be pulling 1600-1700's... Im assuming this is just a little glitch (like the stagefright trick to make it go over 2000) The phone is running great and I know quadrant really means squat pretty much but still nice to throw down some big numbers when comparing :p Hope we can resolve the issue!!! Thanks very very much for your hard work!!!!

It begins...

What's a better guide as to how well a rom meets your needs: how well it meets your needs or how well the people who wrote Quadrant thought it would meet your needs?

Quadrant isn't a good benchmark. For example, it rates the N1's 65nm Snapdragon processor as about 4 times better than the X's 45nm OMAP (assuming the scaling is linear). Stop and think about that for a minute.

seemed to have lost audio (mp3) support / may be a conflict with incognito on this build. (that would be a dealbreaker)/ gonna wipe again/ revert to your stock rom (blurry 2.3.20) , usual procedure then try an mp3 off my card/ backup/ apply theme/ try mp3 / may be data or who knows??? letcha know... looks sweet as pie though / transitions are awesome!

This has run like a dream. No issues at all. Have been very happy and I don't really like blur but the rom blur or not runs great. Can't wait to see fission.

So im a bit lost here... I installed first version of blurry 1.5.2 then installed the latest TBH leak which updated bootloader etc... then this newer version of blurry is out to run ONLY if you've run that leak... the system still says 2.3.20 not 2.3.320... I also have a version of focused running on another handset BEFORE TBH leak and system says 2.3.20 .... am I missing something? Just trying to sort out all these updates and know where im supposed to be....
