I would love to see confirmation from Big Red as well -- but I wonder, will it be sold in their stores, or only in Best Buy like the Nexus S?

Either way, I have a discounted upgrade I'm holding onto, and I just need to decide 16 or 32 gigs...which will be dependent on whether it has a micro-sd card slot or not. I couldn't find confirmation either way, so if someone saw confirmation one way or the other, that'd be great to see.

I hate to be a downer, but lets not put the cart before the horse. How about we get confirmation that Verizon is actually getting this device. There's a ton of rumors that have me and everyone else very excited for this, but not a single bit of confirmation from Big Red. I sure hope that Verizon Roadmap is real!

17th is the release date in UK. So unless you are from there I wouldn't worry about it.

Not necessarily, they could have had that presser ready for quite some time but were just waiting to release it to the public, so "later this year" could mean November.
