Further Proof that the DROID Bionic Could be Launching August 4th?

I live in Northern Ocean County. But work up in Middlesex.

I'm leaning away from the Bionic for the following reasons:

Locked bootloader
MOTOBLUR sucks
Who knows how long it will be before Gingerbread/Ice Cream Sandwich comes out for it and actually makes use of the dual-core CPU

I see, so the Dual core is the main reason you're choosing the Bionic.

Honestly, if they were both out right now, I'd pick up the Bionic most likely. I've been sitting on an upgrade for nearly 4 months, and the dual-core isn't worth 2-3 more months to me, especially since the Bolt has some things I like that the Bionic doesn't. I'll leave it at that.

Hey Preach, I just wanted to know why you're choosing the Bionic over the Bolt. I can't really know until it's fully released and I get to play with it, but the Thunderbolt's looking worse and worse...

I agree. The window has passed. With all the new devices due to hit next year - 2011 is going to be very competitive for smart phones...and as a result the DINC HD may get lost in the crowd. HTC/VZW shouldn't have waited.

No surprise. It is rumored to be coming to AT&T first...and I suspect that will happen by CES at the latest.
