It will be interesting to see what other users have discovered. My list was longer, but sticking to my top 5 as the OP title states really lets users know what others fill are the top 5 apps out there.

Easy Root users, does the whole rooting process go over as smoothly as I hear it does? I have some buddies that want to root there phones, but they aren't big risk takers.

A little off topic. The "other" methods just involve typing a series of lines and slapping the enter key. Look in the RS guides section here for assistance and to make further posts on this topic. I always recommend the manual method and the forum is also here to help those that use the one button push methods when things go wrong;)

I have had my Droid 2 now for almost 2 months and I have found a few apps by searching on this website ( which is great dancedroid ). So after a few weeks of using them, I thought I would post what I use.

Top 5 "everyday" apps
LauncherPro ( great app to personalize your cell home screens )
Handcent SMS ( much better text app than the installed one )
Dolphin Browser HD ( I use FF, so this is a great browser for me )
Facebook ( for keeping up on my friends )
WeatherBug ( more data for me, but also have The Weather Channel app )

Flikie Wallpapers ( gives me more wallpapers to chose from )
