Samsung Fascinate Will Include Bing Maps and Search

Please forgive my ignorance as I do not know what a root is, etc. I am interested in the Fascinate as my next phone but also want to make sure that Froyo/Android 2.2 is an option. Does anyone know if this is a possibility with all the great hacks I hear of?

the Fascinate (all Galaxy S) phones will eventually get the 2.2 update (probably sooner rather than later).

but there is a possiblity that your phone will be rooted, and a custom 2.2 rom put on it before then.

I am SO OUTRAGED by this!!! Android has now officially lost all its integrity.

And VZ Navigator preinstallled? Does that mean this phone will not have Google Maps' free turn-by-turn navigation on it? This has always been a major selling point of the Android platform for me! Damn the insatiable greed of these people!

i was wondering why the galaxy s on vzw i played with the other night had bing search on it...i'll try to get a screencap but i doubt my friend will let me root his phone :lol:
