GummyJAR

Stripped down and geared towards SPEED!!!!

Themers Wanted - PM me if you want help with GummyJAR themes

Note: You can install 1.9 over the top of 1.8

GummyJar is built for and only tested on 2.3.320/340 based phones.... If you are running 2.3.15 you might have issues Don't worry D2users you are good :)

GummyJAR is an AOSP like rom, yes it is based off of a moto rom (2.3.340)

90% of all apps were compiled by me from source (a few needed to be there from moto... like five or so provider apps and the music app)... This is a first and I was able to accomplish this though modifying the framework in both cvpc's and cyanogenmod's source. All source changes will be available to anyone who requests them after GummyJAR is released.... So yes this work will work its way into other Blur based ROM's

The look and and feel of this rom is AOSP + Gingerbread with a few tweaks :) If you are a themer and would like to release themes for my rom PM me...

GummyJAR is really as close to AOSP as we are going to get until cvpcs and Matt get things figured out and the bugs cleared up!!!

Thanks:
Thanks to Droid2169 for his patience with me when I needed help or just a question answered. GummyJAR will also be using his busybox and script which is greatly appreciated!
Thanks to Matt4542 for all his help and support along the way!!!! Oh and thanks for testing and porting GummyJAR to the D2 :p
Thanks to Duhstehn my D2 tester.. you are friggin Awesome!!!
Thanks over.leaf for the wallpaper image!
Thanks to jacksonbarber for testing my ROM!
Thanks to theecho for hosting my ROM!
Thanks for cvpcs for publicly posting his source, which I compiled most of my apps from.
Thanks for teamdouche for publicly posting the CM source, which I compiled some of my apps from.
Angdroid for the reboot option.

Features:
New base....built by me
First Non-AOSP ROM to include phone, contacts, settings..... hell 90% of all the apps were built from source.... rather that decompiled and hacked apps via APKmanager!!!!! And it shows in pure speed!!!!!
Blurless obviously
Wycontacts
CM music player built from source and compiled by me with lockscreen control support
Black / Inverted GVoice and Gtalk
Gingerbread keyboard - Not available in the D2, sorry to many buggs
AppWidgetPicker
Latest Market included

Ads blocked via hosts file - thanks to delta_foxtrot2
Framework cleanup to properly match AOSP
10% battery increments

wow, this looks really nice. Any chances you will make a 2.3.15 version? You know for us poor people not on the leak and don't want to do the OTA. thanks and keep up the good work, this looks really good.

Well I can only test on 2.3.320 cause I only have one phone.. to be honest though I know what files need to be changed to make it work on 2.3.15 I just can't test it

Just incase you haven't seen yet, here is a link that will allow you to downgrade to 2.3.15 just by downloading the file and putting on your sdcard. You would have to clockwork back then install your rom to test, then reinstall your backup for the newer firmware, but it would work. Want to roll your .320 DX back to 2.3.151? NOW YOU CAN!

i'm sure you're correct since Fab and Jrummy both made versions for 2.3.15 and i don't think they had 2.3.15 available. (there original versions were based on the leak) The only reason i mention it is because i really think the majority of people aren't on the leak and people on 2.3.15 probably won't make the jump to the ota since root isn't a for sure thing and obviously there are no roms for it yet. Just my thinking and i could be way off. i was also thinking of exposure for your new rom...the more people that can try it the better i would think.

Do you have a working swype apk? I've tried multiple different version but all of them fc. Taking out swype in the first place was not a good idea but now I can't even re-install it. Makes me not want to use this otherwise perfect rom.

Ummmm......

Have you contributed to this project???? When you have then you will be given the right to tell me what is and is not a good idea to include!!

Eitherway I will take a look at the swipe thing when I have time but it is not high on my priority list

Yes, I have, by downloading and installing your rom. Had I known it had no swype from the get go I would have avoided it. Don't get your panties in a bind, I'm just trying to help. The rom is very good and very fast, which I like. Now that I have swype back up and working, I'm 100% happy.

How is downloading and using something that I have pured days and nights of my personal life into in any way contributing????

This is not some capital market where dev's are doing everything they can to get people to use their product. I do not receive any money for this! This is simply people like me who enjoy doing stuff like this and happen to share our work! I could really care less if you use it! If you want to come in this forum and tell me what you expect to see and not see in my work you better contribute in some way... If you need help and want something ask for it nicely and act humble if you don't have the skills to do it yourself.

Don't get me wrong I am glad you like my work and am happy to help you out but you gotta learn how to ask people for stuff and not come across as if the world owes you something. My guess is your a teenager and have yet to gather those skills either.

1.6 is very nice and speedy. Thank you. Question before this rom I was on apex 1.3 another quality rom build 2.3.340, now on yours its telling me 2.3.320? Since my kernals, bootloader are 2.4.340, what does this mean to for me since I've reverted backwards?
