What other kernels do you recommend? It's been so long since I was on froyo I'm not even sure where to find them

Kernels for this Rom are built in. You can pick between slayher kernel and RZ kernels. I use a Slayher 1ghz kernel underclocked to 900. 15hr battery, cool and smooth.

Its a one click automated install.

I have the ROM running now on my D1 and indeed seems very good. Do have a question about the kernels. It says they are built in, but how do I change kernels?

Its in sourcery settings. Path= from home screen go to settings/sourcery settings/sourcery magic/ sourcery magic and then just click the kernel you want. I use rzr 1200. I believe you must have cwm installed for the auto install (get it from rom manager). Word of advice, have another kernel on your sd card or make a backup in case your phone doesn't like the kernel you picked, and you bootloop.

<--return rooter... One upon a time I was using Sourcery, back in late January / early February - then my phone spazzed out and I had to undo all the fun stuff. Turns out it was definitely hardware (as it happened again a couple weeks ago with a different phone - completely un-modded).

So i'm back to the black magicians hat! :D This was the one rom that I was happiest with! It has some crazy effects, was slightly different than the rest - but pulls in a lot of the best features from various roms too. I was stoked to see this forum / thread was resurrected!

I was sad to hear you GFlam and Eagle had to call it quits, but life does that now and again with extra things - definitely two very devoted devs! Again, thanks guys for this wonderful ROM. :)

Be sure to check out all the new features, Sourcery of today and Sourcery of January are two very different animals.

How do I go about removing programs like cpu boost, gemini calendar and some of the others that come w/ the ROM that I won't use? I use setcpu for over clocking. I'm not able to do it w/ Titanium for some reason it doesn't "trick" my phone by rebooting twice. It reboots once and I see a black screen w/ an exclamation point inside of a triangle

    settings

2 ways delte them with root explorer or just go to settings magic settings sourcery aditional programs and scroll to bottom and most everything that is included has an option to uninstall.
the programs to installl all work but are probably old since this rom is not in production anymore.

Amazon is offering free 4g phones... htc unlocks their bootloaders... so many temptations but i am having a hard time thinking about a phone without Sourcery on it.. Got use to having ultimate stability, one click kernel/theme/bootanimation swap, 15+ hours battery life.. I guess i'm sticking to my D1 for now..

i tried to flash sourcery last night but got a constant FC message. i don't remember exactly what it said though. something like 'adroid program a**** not accepted'. i wiped 3 times before trying to flash. i flashed 2.0 then 2.2 then apps and then reboot. is it worth trying again

Yes it's worth trying again... there are so many options with this ROM, you sorta gotta be careful when you set it up. Be extra cautious getting all your apps installed and your launcher, etc, then when everything you want is synced from google make a nandroid backup and then start playing around with the features.

Also make sure if anything pops up asking for super user to allow it right away.

    up to you

but i can say that is not an apparent normal problem. so it doesnt really hurt to try. its a fun rom worth checking out. so id try it again if you got nothing better to do.

i know if you dont chizzle has been known to track people down and hold them at knife point until they install it.
