I sent an email to each of these peeps. I'll be shocked if I get a response.

How awesome would it be if they were like: "I'm so sorry for your disappointment regarding the Galaxy Nexus launch, we're going to be sending you one in the mail ahead of the official launch. Sorry for being jerks." :)

How awesome would it be if they sold the nexus before they were supposed to and you got it a week or so early, ide be so excited. Then the verizon store would call you back and tell you that you had to return the phone, ide be invisible as hell if they did that lol..
It's happened before! You never know...you could get that one store or salesman who is oblivious. If they sold me one early they definitely would not get it back!

Now that Friday isn't looking good, and this thread will turn into filler again, everybody should unsubscribe and go spend time with your family, your dog, your job (?!?), whatever... something more worthwhile than this thread... It's the holidays after all! :D

Wait, the nexus isint the next stepping stone in life? GAH

Roger Tang is actually a REALLY nice guy. He's originally from the mid-west (Ohio) area, which is among the more competitive markets for Verizon. I imagine if it weren't for the people who help him manage his e-mail account that he might actually be the kind of guy to personally respond. Unfortunately, you probably won't hear any response from him, nor from his team. The problem with Roger is that he's been busy firing and hiring a TON of people in the South region (N.C, S.C., & Tennessee) that he probably hasn't had any time to do much about the Nexus. The South region is vastly underperfoming the company and as a result, the 4GLTE rollout has skipped many sections in the south. If you don't perform and sell 4G devices, Verizon is going to skip your market for LTE rollout until it can get to it later. Why do you think small towns in Ohio with 15-30k people that no one's ever heard of got 4G before many other towns/cities with 100k+ people?

Back to Tang: seriously, this guy has personally given a couple of managers I know the boot from the company. Can't say they didn't deserve it - numbers don't lie, and when you cannot perform, you cannot justify your $90,000 annual salary (plus bonuses)... that's just how it works.

Another name to add to the list is Jerry Fountain (pronounced "foun-tayne"); jerry.fountain@verizonwireless.com - he's in the South region as well, and he has some major clout within the company. He's helping Tang clean up the South area, by the way. These two are a**-kickers. I put my trust in them, honestly.

I'm curious if you've heard back from them and what they/she said? This is severely pissing me off. Its almost as if they are trying to set it up for failure by trying to get customers to upgrade early to one of their bloatware packed phones so this phone doesn't sell as well. That way the next time they release a Nexus, they can say, well it didn't sell very well last time so if you want us to sell it again we want to put our bloatware crap all over the phone!

Well, it's only been about 15 minutes, and my rant was long enough that even if she started with my email at the top of her list, she probably isn't done reading yet.

But as soon as I hear anything, I'll post it.

Oh shoot, my dog!!! (Runs outside to unchain her from her lead after about a month)

I kid, I kid! :D

Ok, so you obviously work for Verizon, right? Who would be the person(s) we want to get a hold of or can get a hold of to voice our feelings towards the way they are handling the Godly phone(IMO) called the Galaxy Nexus? Or are the Regional Presidents them?

Since the Nexus looks like it will never come out before the end of the year I must say for you people "renting" phones, id be getting awful worried that renting may turn into owning lol.

There is no one who can help you, me, or us, really. No matter who you contact, they'll defer to a higher up who will either defer to another higher up, or who will know their higher up's response already: we're sorry for the way you feel, however, Verizon has announced nothing. Verizon may not be able to control some leaks some of the time, but they are pretty tight-lipped on this one.

I've spoken with plenty of people at Verizon who I know and who have been quite liberal with me in the past in terms of sharing sensitive information and all of these people assure me they aren't witholding anything - they're in the dark, too. It's just how it is this time. We'll know something more soon.

If you feel that the pen is mightier than the sword, go ahead and e-mail one of the above listed Verizon execs, however, your e-mail is probably being blatantly disregarded by each exec's team of people who help them manage their e-mail accounts.
