Roger Tang is actually a REALLY nice guy. He's originally from the mid-west (Ohio) area, which is among the more competitive markets for Verizon. I imagine if it weren't for the people who help him manage his e-mail account that he might actually be the kind of guy to personally respond. Unfortunately, you probably won't hear any response from him, nor from his team. The problem with Roger is that he's been busy firing and hiring a TON of people in the South region (N.C, S.C., & Tennessee) that he probably hasn't had any time to do much about the Nexus. The South region is vastly underperfoming the company and as a result, the 4GLTE rollout has skipped many sections in the south. If you don't perform and sell 4G devices, Verizon is going to skip your market for LTE rollout until it can get to it later. Why do you think small towns in Ohio with 15-30k people that no one's ever heard of got 4G before many other towns/cities with 100k+ people?
Back to Tang: seriously, this guy has personally given a couple of managers I know the boot from the company. Can't say they didn't deserve it - numbers don't lie, and when you cannot perform, you cannot justify your $90,000 annual salary (plus bonuses)... that's just how it works.
Another name to add to the list is Jerry Fountain (pronounced "foun-tayne");
jerry.fountain@verizonwireless.com - he's in the South region as well, and he has some major clout within the company. He's helping Tang clean up the South area, by the way. These two are a**-kickers. I put my trust in them, honestly.
