it is odd. it will be sooo much faster then the d1 though. the removable storage wont annoy me that much. Hopefully i will be able to do something similar/as efficient as mass storage. what i like about internal storage is that i wont get the "waiting for sd card" notification when my phone boots and i will be able to use the phone quickly right when it starts up. the mp is a letdown for me. (like chizzelle, NO ARGUMENT... IT IS A LETDOWN!!! ). I wanted everything about the phone to be an upgrade. and 5mp -> 5mp is no upgrade.

I look at it this way....my Bionic takes the same quality pictures as my OG did two years ago....which is to say crappy. My Bionic is 8MP and my OG was (obviously) 5MP. So the upgrade to 8MP didn't do squat - same horrible quality, especially when taking a shot in less than bright-sunny-day conditions. So if Sammy has upgraded the sensor, which is what it sounds like, then I think it will be a big upgrade in picture quality.

But I know for a fact that it can't be worse. And if it is equal, well at least I can take the same crappy pictures with zero shutter lag.

The difference of quality isn't going to be in the pixels with 5 and 8..its the blowing up that will be the difference in those numbers. The hardware is a little more advanced but the software isn't quite ready for the hardware...lol Know what I mean? I wish we had something comparable to retinal display and the camera software on the iPhones ..ooops did I say that? 4s that is..lol but give these devices some time. They will fix the cameras up I'm sure a tad. But I don't think they are really focused on quality as most consumers are led to believe that more megapixels mean better pix. The reality is, this is only true if your going to print the pix larger than an 8×10 or higher. The 5×7 or lower or just using the phones to share pix doesn't even make the difference. Unless you totally have a crappy resolution on your screen..lol

I think I'm agreeing with you. :biggrin:

My point was that 5MP on my OG was crappy and there was ZERO improvement going to my Bionic with 8MP. So I was just trying to reassure Doublea500 that I DO think the camera will be a BIG improvement over the OG, even though they are the same 5MP's.

Wow why not more responses to this post? Is this for real you think? That would be almost certainly mean release is close, like within a week or so then right? I remember I didn't see a dummy unit of the DX until like right before it came out (I think). But this says that the actual devices are being shipped and received already now??

All it is at this point is someone saying something. The pic is an older picture and even says so in the post. Nothing to get excited over. I go more excited over SBenson's pic but to be honest I have had a few tonight. It would probably take a nekid chick runnin into my house to get me excited. then again it would probably just be the wife and I would be like dang...

i already see a mistake in it. they put 1750 as the battery...

Those pictures don't look too good . I saw other articles with better pictures . Maybe they got an older revision of the software .
