I'd like to believe that, but I just can't, given Verizon's recent track record. I find it hard to believe that all of the sudden they care about quality control. They've made it clear in the past that they don't. I think this is about bottom-line profits. Just like any company. They just care about signing up as many people as possible on 2-yr contracts.

Wouldn't it make more sense that Google want's it to be as close to perfect as possible, not Verizon. I know they say they have released it to Verizon, but the testers have to be getting the updates from Google. Google can save face from the volume button issue overseas by releasing a relatively clean OS here. There are bound to be bugs, but I think in the long run we'll all be happy with what we get when we get it, as smooth as possible and probably updating to 4.1 as we are activating. $.02

to explain, the something big is coming is from the oct 18th announcement of the galaxy nexus. it was google and samsungs teaser picture. and the 6 more days potentially is suggesting that the phone can come out the 8th.

It's pretty easy for someone who already has the device in hand and that will probably be on a new test device in a few weeks to say "just be patient.... it's coming.... be glad you don't have it.... what is knowing a date going to help?

Hopefully in a few weeks we will have our nexus and everything be good. If p3 dont like the nexus that is his choice, he can go to deving on the d4. Basically everyone will be happy one way or another.

Newest Batch of Verizon Release Dates: Galaxy Nexus, DROID 4, White RAZR and XYBoards

We have been shying away from “rumored” release dates over the last couple of weeks unless we have photo evidence, but today, we are making an exception. The newest targeted release date list has been made available to our friends at Verizon and we couldn’t help but share. To my knowledge, these could be final.
