I can vouch for that. It's kinda like when you went from dial-up to cable modem. Just not possible to go back. Heck, I use 4g instead of connecting to my home wifi. It's faster. (gotta luv unlimited data!) :icon_ lala:

I use 3g instead of my wifi. none of my several d1s has ever held a connection with wifi more then 5min. 'WAVES FIST'

With the poem? I coulda swore it was p3droid telling everyone to follow that Tom Fleming guy and he would release more parts of that poem when we did. I'm sure P3 said Dec 8th, but he wasn't exactly saying it with much conviction. And at one point he said he was crossing the VZW Nexus off his christmas list and RIP to the nexus or some crap hah. I don't know I can't keep track of who said what, I just don't put too much faith in people who flip flop that much. I'm sure P3 knows far more then most of us do, but I don't think he knows anything positive. He's working off rumors just as much as we are, except his rumors may come from someone on the inside.

When did he say this? He just said end of the year not dec 8. i dont even think vz knew back then the delay length.

He has been saying Dec. 8th for a few weeks now. We all thought it was coming out this last week here in November and he was on Twitter saying 12/8 was the date to be and telling us to put our money down for a little while, since we have some time to wait before release.

Further, I've had my partner who works for corporate VZW checking every single day in Verizon OMM (their marketing system) that's an internal-only system, and OMM has had December 8th as the launch date for over a week now. It's written in there clear as day... I posted screenshots on these very same forums with the information. Again, I don't think Verizon will mislead their entire company to keep the launch date of a phone private. In fact, the print out from OMM is on my office desk and I'm looking at it right now. I checked with him again tonight - OMM still shows 12/8 as the date.

I guess at this point, I personally feel pretty good about a 12/8 date, but I am not holding fast to that as the "official" launch date. I won't believe anything 100% until Verizon announces it. Probably best that way, really.

Edit: Also, it was @Black_Man_X (aka Panda) who tweeted to follow Tom Fleming. P3 I believe got his Nexus after Panda had already had his for a while.

I feel that it is necessary because 99% of the time I'm posting as a member and don't mind people challenging what I have to say or anything. So this makes it easier to know when I am making a statement as a Mod/trying to prevent a discussion from going down a specific path for the over all good of a thread.

And to clarify... I wasn't saying to not talk about the rumor from today... just don't want this falling back into a discussion about how much someone was right or wrong or their motives for posting, or who said what when.

I've been disappointed with every phone since the t-bolt, been holding my upgrade for months. Trying to stay positive is tough, but going to prolly get this one. Someone in in for a whoopin' if it's either buggy or bloated.

Since when has/who decided twitter to be a reliable/credible source? Wtf? Last I checked, it was a social networking site similar to facebook, not an official breaking news source.

If I had special knowledge about something important, I certainly wouldn't post it on twitter or make it my facebook status...

I was driving, saw the mod hat ahead of me. Stopped the car right on the freeway, got out and and bowed. As i bowed a semi smacked right in my car but barely missed me. my head missed it by an inch. There are a few people testing the Nexus that people follow on twitter, so that's why they listen to them. I'm not saying it's smart, but there are 2 or 3 teams of devs working on the Nexus testing and they give the public info from time to time. Sometimes it's wrong, sometimes it's right.
