Sometimes it adds a .zip that is hidden so your phone sees .zip.zip

Did you remove or rename the update.zip that contained smoked glass? SPR will not work if you have multiple update.zip files on your SD card. Additionally, make sure the update.zip is on the root of the SD card.

I would start over with a fresh download. Make sure there are no other update.zip on the root( not in any folder) of your SD card. Are you mounting the card in recovery to do your placement? Make sure to unmount before install.

Backup files made with SPR will not impact the install unless you added an ".zip" extension.

Where would I find the best location to download. It took 20+ mins to download from the google link provided on the first page

starting from scratch. reloaded first update with out SG. and now rebooting.

re-downloading 12.3.0 from the linked mirror site directly to phone. 7 mins left

Was it looping, or just taking longer than normal? If looping, pull battery, boot into recovery and restore your backup. I would then download Rom manager open it and flash clockworkmod recovery, do this a few times as it doesn't always stick the first time. Then go to download Rom, jamezelle section and select 0.12.3.0. Select wipe cache and data, select install and let clockwork do the rest.

Themes........ yea about them...... I downloaded a few but with the theme manager it says loaded but nothing happens. only ones that work are the ones that come with the miui. Is there a trick I'm missing?
