You have to be rooted and use a file explorer that has root access. /cache is in the root directory which isn't visible unless you have root.

I do have root access and I tried copying the file over and i was denied access. however, I just installed ROM manager and ran a file permissions fix. hopefully that'll work.

Go to the settings of your folders app and make sure it is allowed to show root. They aren't automatically set up to do that. And depending on your program you have to get read/write permission.

Try "file explorer" from the market. In settings set for root access and write.

I am in Thailand trying to do this. Without a Verizon SIM card I cannot access the phone. So when I do the steps to keep root I cannot install the apps.

Is there a work around?
