I would double check to make sure that that link is the dx link....after looking at it im pretty sure its the same link that used to be in my signature....which is for d2

Just noticed that... I just installed it on my droid X and it appears to be working (so far). Is it possible they use the same ROM?

Check your build.prop to see what it says your device model name is

Not sure where to find that, but I'm definitely using a Droid X.

If its the d2 version you will likely have problems with swype and the camera.

Im aware your using a droid x but if the software you loaded onto it was intended for the droid 2 your build.prop settings shoud say your model number is a droid 2. Build.prop settings can be viewed by going to settings>about phone
