Gonna build cyanogenmod 7 for the pro

what do we want as the boot animation sound? the old droid sound? i know some people don't like it in case their phone restarts in meetings or something so i will make there be an option to disable it too

That would be great. I don't know how CM works, but in the stock ROM, it was possible to delete or replace the OGG file that was used by the boot animation. If you did it similarly, then people could just replace the sound with whatever they want. Or, if they prefer no sound at all, they could just disable the setting that you included for them.

yeah i'll make the default with no sound just to be safe for those who carry their phone to meetings or something in case of a reboot, so the default file will be droid.bak i'll make a script for you guys so all you have to do is click on the file which will execute the script and rename it from droid.bak to droid.ogg and it should play the next time you reboot

i'll try for today, not sure how everything will go but i promise i'll try. just realized the proximity sensor has been fixed in a build i created for myself last night, not sure how new it is maybe it's because of the latest source used in my most recent build. if i can get the boot animation sound working, i'll publish the build tonight

Hey ,what does the wifi AP stand for on widgets drop down selections

i dont see wifi ap can you tell me how you to this widgets drop down selection? anyways ap stands for access point so maybe it just says what wifi router name youre connected to

It's in the list of Notification Widget Buttons, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I can't actually connect to a WiFi network to see if it does anything, either. I'll try again in a future build when WiFi is working.

EDIT: Never mind, it connected after a bit. Yeah, I don't see any difference with the WiFi AP on, and I can't seem to toggle it back off. Maybe it acts as a shortcut to a wireless tethering app, if one is installed.

okay here's what's up

the newest build will be published tomorrow, the boot sound works but is disabled as default. if you want to enable it you have to type something into the terminal (this is very easy, trust me) i will elaborate more on that when i publish the build and will give detailed instructions along with it. regarding the hard keyboard suggestions, i kinda messed up somewhere but will fix that tomorrow so you guys can have your hard keyboard suggestions as well as a virtual keyboard when holding the phone horizontally that you guys missed oh-so much. the proximity sensor has magically been fixed (wasn't me, the updated cyanogenmod source must have done it) but everything is fine and dandy with that. keep the me updated with the bugs so soon we can go official!

ice cream sandwich should be coming soon (october or november, whenever it is officially released by google) to a droid pro near you

Yea I read lt was something to do with wifi tethering,but we dont have that here I dont think,how come radiocomm wont open this??.....,,must have some deterrent

Has anyone else been having problems with the GPS Location? My navigation app showed me driving almost a quarter mile from where I was which caused it to reroute me about 20 times. I knew generally where I was going, so it wasnt a huge deal, but I'm worried about when I don't know where I'm going.
