Gonna build cyanogenmod 7 for the pro

Hey everyone,

First off I'd like to thank JackpotClavin for all the work he's put into this ROM. Its worlds better than any of the stock ones we've had before and its not even done. To think, I was considering swapping my Droid Pro out for an iPhone...

Anyways, I have a question. I have the ROM installed, everything seems to be working great, however, my phone will not vibrate on text messages or emails even though all the settings are set to Always. The phone vibrates when I get a phone call and the haptic feedback works so I'm pretty sure it isn't a hardware issue. I've read through the entire 18 pages of this thread and found nothing referring to this. If someone could let me know if I missed something I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Matt

My hepatic feedback does not work but it vibrates for messages :-(

there's a fix for the camera and video playback from videos over the internet but videos which are on the phone cannot be played for some odd reason. camcorder still does not work and camera is still inverted but still takes pictures

I'll throw the camera and video fix into the next build if I can get the camera inversion fixed. If I can't find an inversion fix I'll just post the build in a day or two. Nothing has changed since the build you guys have so you aren't missing anything special

Is there any need for ROM Manager since no one (except Jackpotclavin and TBH) is developing for the droid pro? Is anyone even using the ROM manager or are you guys just using the droid 2 bootstrap?

I just saw a little Android flyby on a skateboard across my screen!! :D OP, thanks for all your hard work. I am so excited to be trying out CM7 on my Pro!!!!!!

Where is your tip jar again??

You can't use droid 2 bootstrap once you have CM7 installed. I use rom manager for doing backups/restores and flashing zips....more convenient than booting into recovery and navigating with the stupid volume rocker :)

Thank You

This is what I want so very badly,(CM7 on the eris) as soon as you have a stable working rom you sir are going to have a donation.btw I need the camera and want the gsm to work sometime in the future

ive made some progress towards gsm, but i have no way of testing it out as i've never done this before and only use cdma. not guaranteed to work but i was able to get gsm networks to show up which is a start i guess. i will need somebody who uses their device strictly for gsm and will not need to switch back to cdma for work or for some other reason because you will have to sbf flash your phone if you want to revert back to cdma. you will have to tweak a build with directions i'll give you and will take about 30 mins

Just in case you know, is the US GSM networks lockout on the Droid Pro a "soft lock" or a "hard lock"? (We weren't able to put a TMoble/ATT Sim in, it won't let us connect).

Is that stil the case with your build?
