I'm a little new at the whole 4G scene. Does this mean all the newer phones, Droid X, Droid 2, Incredible, Fascinate and others are 4G capable?

I remember the original news story posted here referencing NFL cities said 2 or 4 weren't going to carry it because it was 40 cities and 4X teams (as you can see, I'm not a football fan ;)).

As you can also see, I'm too lazy go to try to dig it up. :D

Verizon to light up LTE network in 30 'NFL cities' this year -- Engadget

I couldn't remember if New York was the only market that had 2 teams, but Oakland and San Francisco are in the same market. So 30 NFL markets or cities? Anyway, it does look like Green Bay and Kansas City are out of the loop. Curiously Indianapolis (or at least Lucas Oil) is about 1 hour away from "West Lafayette". Rochestor, NY is also about 1 hour from Buffalo. So it may be 4 nfl markets that are out: Indianapolis, green bay, Kansas city, and buffalo?

Funny that Indy does not get it yet, Akron does. Nothing against Akron just.... didn't see that one coming.

Nope, not at all. Verizon hasn't put out LTE capable phones yet.

Well I live in one of the cities listed dancedroidbut we still do not have a phone that will work on the service. I hopw that when the 4G comes on line they will have a new more powerfull DROID to go along with it. It would be nice if the rumerd T2 from Moto will be the first on the new 4G LTE system..

DROID 1 rooted
