Tablet Advice?

I am looking to get my kiddos tablets.

I looked into the Nabi, but it looked kinda meh.

I would drop for Kindle Fire, but do not like Amazon too much (but am not adverse to using Amazon if I have to)

Any suggestions for decent tablets between the 200-300 price-range?

I do not mind rooting and all that.

The new Nook Color looks fantastic, should blow the Fire away! (or out!
I have the first one and it's great with CM7 oc'd to 1GHz. Even the first one they'd probably be content with and the price is pretty good!

What Rubiks said. The new nook looks good and should be friendly enough for the kids tto use.

I'd get a fire if I didnt hhave a xoom. I'm an Amazon addict, I even buy my cereal from them LOL
