alldroid is down right now for some reason, but find the autoscript link ill try and findd it when alldroid comes back online. its way easier but you will get 2.1 out of the deal

of the 2 ways i know of rooting the eris, the auto script is by far the easiest, you double click and it does all the work for you. no adb needed.
