Successfully rooted Pro. I use z4 (in OP of this thread). It took a little work ... and a couple of reboots, but root confirmed.

What do you mean it took a little work? You change a setting push a button it reboots once and you're done.;)

That's how it worked for me on my D2. Want to tell me what was different for you?

I did this earlier at Verizon and it worked in one try. Had no problems.

I saw you say that on the other thread, I thought you were kidding. Good for you. It's good for Verizon too. What they don't know won't hurt them. ;)

Root is Complete on the Moto Pro. Bad. Took 2 tries. Verified with BusyBox.

Well, that was easy. Verified in emulator.

There is a ton of bloatware on this device. Will be nice to remove some of it.

I threw on Titanium Backup and it shows rooted, but I don't have the permissions to rename or delete. What gives?

Only thing I have ever used to rename files is an emulator, call me old fashoned.

Be careful what you delete, AFAIK there is no SBF file to fall back on.

All I really wanted to get rid of was the camera click.

Can you unroot with thru the Z4 app? All I want to add is wifi tether and screen cap which should be pretty basic root apps, anyone have any issues or recommendations?

Yes just go back into the app and make sure you rotate the screen vertical or else the text will cover up the unroot button.
