you could always just extract the backupassistant.apk from the EB01 rom file and install with adb or root explorer so you dont have to reflash EB01 Rom

just a thought

use a program like 7zip or winrar and extract the EB01 guts....look for the system folder/app folder find the backupassistant.apk file, drag onto your sd card and use root explorer to install it in system/app, set permissions and reboot

you may be able to do it from your phone with root explorer by extracting it there...maybe

I had the same problem. Best solution for me was to export my contacts from Verizon backup assistant website and import it in Gmail account. After that I just refreshed my backup thru Gmail acc on my phone... and all contacts are there.

I am currently running non voodoo 2.8 and liking it just fine.

3 questions:
1) Upgrade to 2.9.2? Ok, who am I kidding, scratch that because I'm going to :)
2) Switch to Voodoo or not?
3) And if so, do I just have to flash the Voodoo ROM or anything more required?

Hoping it will work to flash over existing, we'll find out.

Thanks all!

2.9.2 comes with kernel.

Just download 2.9.2 voodoo and flash in cwm. then you have to enable the lag fix and reboot. Your boot up time could take 20 minutes so be Patient, as it may sit on the samsung logo for 10 minutes like mine did.

Im on sc 2.9.2, with gingerbread theme. I like the transparent notification pull down from sc better than the themed one. Any way to change just that part back?

Yeah its possible, if you know how to theme....

You can always download a theme with the pull down you like and swap it out in the gingerbread. I would contact a themer to see if they will tell you how. It's not that easy.
