I have searched the forums and know there is a thread on how to go back from root to stock (because my touchscreen is screwed up so I need to go to VZW). I just need a link to it :) Also, will I be getting a refurbed one if i have the insurance

See my link below. Once you open the link go to the second part that gives you step by step instructions on how to unroot.

I have a backup of 2.1, could I use that rather than your 2.01?

Or should i just use the 2.01 then get the OTA update?

If you have a 2.1 backup then you might do well with that, I do not know much about it. I have read that some people are not getting the 2.1 OTA anymore because Verizon is close to pushing the 2.2. So it is really up to you with what you feel comfortable with. If it was me, I would probably go to 2.0.1 and try to get the 2.1 OTA. I know that as of a month and a half ago the 2.1 OTA was still being pushed out because I had to do that to my husbands phone before returning it to Verizon for a refirb.
