Did the update from the file....it went great!! Now running 2.0.1!!
Zodduska, where the flip did you get that backround?
thanks for the files guys! its great
btw this topic is moving FAST!
Cant help but wonder if somewhere in this world, someone at Verizon is suddenly wondering how/why so many people now have the 2.0.1 update.
Curious as to what happens when they attemp to "push" the update to those of us who have already installed it manually?
Whoohoo! Worked like a charm. Thanks to all you incredible hackers!
Have any of you receivers/installers of the new update had prior text messaging problems (i.e. error msg regarding area code) and had the problem fixed after the update?
This is my main concern with the new update. Better battery, lock screen, etc is all good, but i'd still like to text those numbers i can't text right now without returning the phone.
Yes, as I said earlier, I had a number that I couldn't send text messages to before the update. Post-update, it's working.
Here ya go.
oops, sorry i missed that post:smile:
Once you manually install an update, your phone won't receive the OTA update.
I've done this several times on previous Android devices.
Also, if you root your phone, NO UPDATE FOR YOU!
You'll need to manually install all future updates (otherwise, once you got an update, you would no longer be rooted)
