mobile data when in call

hey i read that ur supposed to be able to use ur data in a phone call (something i find hugely helpful), however i dont seem to be able to.

im using XT910, H+ (so called 4g)

Only avail when in 4g lte area, period!
You can verify by noticing the 4g notification while in call, if not, data is UN avail.

I don't have 4g in my area yet, but I can call and use wifi at the same time.

Wifi is a totally separate radio as i'm sure you know, however tied to a spot you have to be... The only way to free roam and get both remains 4G LTE.

Oh, I see so for the HSPA+ model since they use the same antenna or something we cant get data during calls.

Im in toronto on the rogers network for those curious.
