Help with rooting/unrooting.

I've been following this step: Video: Flashing SPRecovery SBF to Stock 2.1 | Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog


I got to the point where it downgrades you. Step 11 I believe.

Well I've done that, and now where the normal battery should be is an outline of a red battery with a line through it and it says please connect to charger. There is also no signal. When I go to the main screen with all my icons, it says "Sorry! Process system is not responding. Force close etc etc."



Help me out please?

Is there anyway I can just get back to Froyo, or is this normal?

I'm lost, scared and confused. Hahahaha.

Nope. My battery was at 70 or 80 percent charge I believe.

id try flashing the SBF again and seeing what happens

you didnt get any errors in doing it the first time

Tried and nothing. Maybe if I go back to the stock sbf?

I'd head to the 3rd link in my signature. There are a couple of files there, and will be more this evening, in the first post. Importantly there is a new sprecovery file available as of yesterday.

but, let's recap.

What is your end goal? I'm not sure why you were trying to flash sprecovery to 2.1 unless for some reason you weren't on 2.2 yet? It seems like this is the guide for those on 2.1 before they got to 2.2

Let the phone charge, but also plan on flashing sprecovery again and then use sprecovery to flash whatever rom you'd like to from there.
