Help root D2 2.3.20

I have searched everywhere to find how to root my d2 on 2.3.20 but got nothing besides superoneclick which gets stuck on "waiting for device". I got my d2 recently and I am coming from a rooted D1.

this method works perfect i just used it on the d2 with the newest update used terminal emulater free from market very easy

Yeah, my phone is also on charge only when connected to pc but I tried the other settings and same thing happens. On my D1 I could select unmount sd from notification bar but I can't do that on D2 for some reason, which could be the problem.

im kind of lost after entering

mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
cp /sdcard/download/Superuser.apk /system/app/Superuser.apk
cp /sdcard/download/su /system/bin/su
cp /sdcard/download/busybox /system/bin/busybox
chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
chmod 4755 /system/bin/busybox
mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
exit

Oh I didn't notice it thank you. So im done now right?

Btw when I open superuser its just a blank screen

yes you are done. the app will only show when a root app has certain permissions. download a root app, give it permissions, and itll show up there.

Thanks. I had BB. 5 on my D1, should I get it for this D2? Now sure if I need special roms for d2

you can now that ur rooted. this is for the DX but applies to the D2 also
