this is stupid
I am also having this problem. I have a bunch of these phones, 2, X's and pros.
I have one user that has some really messed up contacts, he has people entered many times, just a little different. j. jones, jim jones, james jones. So I thought it must be him. I got his contacts all cleaned up, deleted any old sub folders in his contacts and wiped the phone many times and tried again. Only to get the same results. Not all contacts there, ancient contacts, wrong contacts.
Spent over and hour on the phone with V-hell to be told that it had to be my exchange/outlook.
Then I looked here.
For petes sake. I had to put him back on his old Q phone and will be sending this piece of crap back tomorrow.
