I was experiencing Internet Connection Issues within certain applications. Anyone else notice the same?

Which applications? I'm not experiencing any issues.

Market was slugish. Movies (Flixster) and ShopSavy are the ones I can recall. Also the Gallery was showing blury photos, assuming that was the issue fixed with 5.0.7.1

Faster? Lots faster.

I'm using Bekits 1.2GHz Standard Voltage and it's running very smooth and cool. It's idling as low as 15c, and the highest i've seen it hit while using it for surfing and light texting is 25c. I haven't used my phone excessively to a point where it reached over 30c.

Overall, I can tell you it's way smoother and cooler than when I was running 5.0.6.2. Hopefully that helps.
