BBv1.1

Looking to root my 2.1 droid to BBv1.1.

Currently I know nothing about rooting or roms, but being that I usually do this same type of process to everything I own (ex PSP) its not foreign territory.

Can someone please direct me to a thread for installation of BBv1.1? I have checked the BB section of these forums and there are no sticky posts containing tutorials. I need step by step exact instructions, as I am seeing that different kernals produce different stability results, etc. I'd like something that is a one shot, best of the best tutorial.

Even though this step has unroot in the title, you're basically following it to get back to 2.01 (a must in order to root).

This step roots you and updates Android back to 2.1.

This step is for reference only and demonstrates how to flash Pete's ROMs using the Sprecovery / Nandroid method. Remember to do a backup first in case something goes wrong. Note that you will have to use the Nandroid method for now as you will be updating from 2.01.
EDIT**** IF YOU FOLLOWED STEP 2 ABOVE YOU WILL NOT NEED TO USE THE NANDROID METHOD BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN ON 2.1. INSTEAD YOU CAN SIMPLY USE THE UPDATE ZIP METHOD.

This will get you to Pete's 1.0. Notice he doesn't have any instructions as he assumes you know how to do it following the method in step 3.

EDIT*****PETE RECOMMENDS BEFORE UPDATING TO 1.0 THAT YOU WIPE THE DATA AND CACHE IF USING THE UPDATE.ZIP METHOD (USING SPRECOVERY) EVEN IF YOU ARE ON 2.1. THIS ENSURES A SMOOTHER UPGRADE. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD TITANIUM BACKUP FROM THE MARKET TO MAKE EASY BACKUPS OF YOUR DATA AND APPS BEFORE WIPING.

REMEMBER: WIPING DATA/CACHE MEANS ALL DATA IS GONE!!!!! YOUR PROGRAMS WILL REAPPEAR AFTER YOU SIGN IN TO YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT ON THE NEW ROM

ALSO PLEASE READ THROUGH THE POSTS REGARDING THESE ROMS AS NEW INFORMATION IS ALWAYS APPEARING.

Also note that there could be easier ways to accomplish this and I'd recommend still looking around places like Alldroid.org etc.

I just did the rsdlite and installed sprecovery in mmy stock 2.1 do I need to install the nandroid backup or do I have it already? Or can I just install the v1.1

Following step 1 above you have to flash back to 2.01 using rsdlite. You cannot root if you are still running the official 2.1.

Just as a heads-up, there is no 2.1 Bugless Beast 1.1. The latest BB release is 1.0.

Alright I found my answer and just to let u know u can root 2.1. Cause I'm rooted now on stock 2.1 search it on droidmod.com, its dam easy. And sorry Idk where I got v1.1 from lol.

I got a question for u kinna dum but anyways how do I wipe data and cache I thought it would of asked me when I installed the rom but it didn't. How can I do it now? (I did it the update.zip way)
